Dr. Afraz Ghafoor is a General Practitioner with a broad scope of clinical experience and a strong commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Originally from Sri Lanka, he has been living in Queensland since 2008 and has recently moved to Brisbane — bringing with him a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for serving diverse communities.
He provides care across all aspects of general practice, with focused clinical interests in acupuncture, joint injections including prolotherapy and PRP, medicinal cannabis, veteran’s health, and iron infusions. Dr. Ghafoor also has extensive experience in the preparation and management of chronic disease care plans and mental health care plans, supporting patients with both acute and ongoing healthcare needs.
Dr. Ghafoor is focused on delivering thorough, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances. He aims to create a professional, respectful, and supportive environment for patients from all backgrounds — a commitment reflected in his ability to consult in four languages.
His qualification as a Diplomat in Child Health (DCH) adds further depth to his practice, making him a trusted choice for families seeking ongoing care for both adults and children.
